2022 COVID-19 Safety Policies
Everyone who will be on-site for our 2022 Adventure Weekend will need to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination and at least one booster shot at the time of registration.
Attendees will also also be required to show proof of negative COVID-19 test; the specifics of this testing protocol will be determined closer to the event.
2022 Adventure Weekend attendees should be aware of the following practices:
- To best create an immersive story experience, our staff volunteers will not be masked for this event. Participants are welcome to wear masks but should understand that there is no expectation that others around them will do so.
- All meals at this Adventure Weekend will be served indoors. There is not adequate space in our dining facility to guarantee 6 feet spacing between all tables.
- For sleeping, participants are housed in one-room cabins along with the other members of their six-person party. Each party’s staff “Companion” will be housed in this cabin as well.
- There is no expectation of social distancing at this event. Various activities may require closer physical proximity and/or touch with other participants.
Otherworld is eagerly preparing for and has every intention of hosting this Adventure Weekend, but if Connecticut law or safety concerns make this impossible, we will have no choice but to cancel. In the event that this is necessary, full refunds will be issued for all admission payments. We encourage anyone who will be flying to the event to purchase a refundable ticket and/or travel insurance.
Prior to the Adventure Weekend, if you are experiencing fever (100.4 degrees F), cough, shortness of breath or other symptoms of COVID-19, we ask that you notify us immediately and refrain from attending the Adventure Weekend. In the event of late cancellations, we are unable to issue a refund of your admission, but we will apply that money to your attendance at the future Adventure Weekend of your choice.
